Frequently asked questions
Clear answers about trading, wallets, Season 0 Points, referrals, and risk.
Trading
Brownian is a decentralized perpetual exchange built on Orderly Network. Brownian provides the trading interface and Season 0 experience. Orderly provides the shared orderbook, liquidity, trading engine, and settlement infrastructure.
Brownian supports crypto and real-world asset perpetual markets, including markets that reference stocks, indices, and metals. These are perpetual contracts. You do not own the underlying asset. Available markets can change, so check the Markets page before trading.
Perpetual futures, or perps, are leveraged contracts that track the price of an underlying market and do not expire. Funding payments help keep the contract near its reference price. Leverage can increase losses as quickly as gains.
Your trading fee depends on your fee tier and whether your order adds or removes liquidity. Funding payments, liquidation charges, and network costs may also apply. Check the live Fee Tier page before trading.
Yes. If your account no longer has enough margin to support its positions, Orderly may partially or fully liquidate them. Liquidation fees may apply, and Brownian cannot guarantee that you will be able to close a position first. Read the Risk Disclosure before trading.
Wallets and access
No. Brownian does not ask for or store your seed phrase or private keys. You approve wallet actions and remain responsible for securing your wallet, reviewing signatures, and using the correct network.
Supported wallets and networks appear in Brownian's connection flow. Availability can change. If a wallet or network is not shown, do not attempt to use it through Brownian.
No. Access depends on your location, legal status, applicable law, and Orderly's current rules. Do not use a VPN or another method to bypass access controls. Check the Restricted Jurisdictions page before using Brownian.
Season 0
Season 0 is Brownian's first Points program. It is scheduled to start on July 17, 2026 and has no fixed end date. The Points page shows the current program status.
Eligible trading activity can earn Trading and PnL Points. Eligible referral activity can earn Referral Points. Orderly calculates the Points values shown on Brownian.
Personal activity is reported for this week and last week. Your total Points and global rank cover the full season. Updates may be delayed, recalculated, or corrected.
The leaderboard shows the all-time Top 50 ranked by total Season 0 Points. Connected traders can still see their own rank when they are outside the Top 50.
Points are participation scores. They are not tokens and cannot currently be claimed, transferred, or redeemed. Points do not guarantee cash value, a token, an allocation, or a claim.
Yes. Eligibility, calculations, timing, and program availability may change. Check the Points page and Terms of Use for current information.
An eligible referred trader receives a 10% fee discount for 30 days, capped at the first $1 million in referred volume. The referrer receives 10% of Brownian's builder margin from direct referred activity for 12 months. Eligible referral activity can also earn Referral Points. Open Referrals to create or manage your code.
Risk and rules
No. Brownian does not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Perpetual trading can cause rapid losses. Trade only if you understand the product and can bear the loss. Read the Risk Disclosure for more detail.
